Participation in the Middle East Music Ensemble is open to all U of C students, and to experienced community members. Previous experience in the genre is not required, but performers must be proficient on their instruments. MEME explores a variety of classical, neo-classical, and popular forms from across the Middle East. The ensemble performs one major concert per year while participating in various related activities including workshops and performance with other guest artists.
